Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026 · Applies to Release Tracker, Photo Resizer AI (macOS & Windows) and this website
Hopmax Software is built around one rule: your creative data lives on your device, not on ours. Release Tracker keeps release information locally, and Photo Resizer AI processes selected photographs locally without uploading image content. This page explains the limited information involved in distribution, updates, support and this website.
Information we handle
Your app data and photographs
Release Tracker stores the titles, dates, labels and other project information you enter locally on your device. Photo Resizer AI reads the folders and photographs you select and processes them locally, including optional Real-ESRGAN enhancement. Release information and image content are not uploaded, synced or transmitted to us or to an external processing service.
Purchases
Windows purchases are handled by Microsoft Store and direct macOS purchases are handled by Gumroad. We do not receive or store your full card details or account credentials. Each store handles purchase information under its own privacy terms.
Update checks
Windows Microsoft Store editions are updated by Microsoft Store. A macOS edition may check a public GitHub release feed for a newer version and download an update from GitHub if you choose to install it. Microsoft or GitHub receives the standard technical information any web request includes, such as your IP address and request time — see Microsoft's Privacy Statement and GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Reminders
Release-date reminders are scheduled and shown locally by your operating system's own notification system. Nothing is sent anywhere for this feature.
This website
This site doesn't run analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical request information, like IP address and browser type, for security and reliability — as with almost every website.
Support Communications
When you contact us through our support form or by email, we may collect your name, email address, application platform/version and the contents of your message. This information is used solely to respond, provide support, investigate technical issues and improve Hopmax Software products. We do not sell this information.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising. The only parties involved are the ones that make the app, its distribution and this website work:
- Microsoft — Microsoft Store distribution, Windows purchases and Store updates.
- Gumroad — direct macOS distribution and purchases.
- GitHub — hosts macOS app update files and version information.
- Vercel — hosts this website and its support form endpoint.
- Resend — delivers support form submissions to us by email.
Each of these only receives what's needed for its role, described above.
How long we keep it
We don't hold complete payment records ourselves — Microsoft and Gumroad handle purchases and retain related data under their own policies. Release data and photograph content do not reach us, so their retention remains under your control on your device.
Your choices & rights
- For anything related to Store purchases or billing, Microsoft or Gumroad holds the relevant transaction data. Contact the store used for your purchase to exercise rights related to that information.
- Uninstalling an app or deleting its local files removes locally stored information and generated exports from the locations under your control.
- If data protection law where you live (for example the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA) gives you additional rights, you can exercise them the same way: contact us and we'll respond as required.
Security
We don't run a server that handles payment-card data. Microsoft, Gumroad and GitHub each handle their own parts directly. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data described above.
Children's privacy
Hopmax Software products are practical creative tools and aren't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If what the app or this site collects ever changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top.
